The VAHLE Group has fully acquired the VAHLE Automation GmbH as of May 1st, 2021. In 2013, the Kamen-based electrification systems supplier established the joint venture with the Tirolean DETO Group. In recent years, the joint venture has successfully developed into VAHLE Group’s innovation and technology center for automation solutions. In the future, the subsidiary in Schwoich will serve the systems provider for mobile industrial applications as a development center for the entire product portfolio.

“VAHLE supplies complete system solutions for mobile industrial applications. The automation division completes our product portfolio. Thus, we can offer our customers an all-inclusive package consisting of energy transmission, positioning, data transmission and control technology," explains Achim Dries, CEO of the VAHLE Group. The Kamen-based company established the joint venture VAHLE Automation as an innovation center with the Austrian control specialist DETO. VAHLE Automation GmbH became a complete member of the VAHLE Group on May 1st, 2021.

Alfred della Torre, founder of the DETO Group, will be withdrawing from the joint venture as planned in the course of the acquisition. “Within almost 10 years, the VAHLE Automation team has succeeded in becoming a development hub, including a demo factory and in convincing well-known international customers with innovations in the area of automation solutions,” said Dries. As a result, the subsidiary and its employees have truly become an important part of the VAHLE Group, he added.

The systems’ supplier continues, of course, to focus on the innovative strength of the Tyrolean site and the great technical experience of the team. “With our research and development department at the headquarters in Kamen, VAHLE Automation will form a technology axis,” said Dries, outlining the plans. The Schwoich Demo Factory, which is used by the team of experts to turn new technologies and innovations into reality, will serve as the basis for dynamic progress. In addition, VAHLE Automation will specifically strengthen its hardware and software development activities as well as project management.  It will also focus on cooperation with universities and technical colleges in the region.
